As the company sold custom, make-to-order products, development was complex and costly and business needs were not being met.<\/p>\n<h2>The Solution: Integrated systems<\/h2>\n<p>I sponsored and directed a $4 million project to move the company to an integrated business system on the more efficient AS\/400 platform, selecting Andersen&#8217;s Mac-Pac Configurator package with it&#8217;s state-of-the-art rules-based approach to order screens, pricing and bill of material generation. The project cut the I\/T expenses in half, provided a strategic advantage in order processing and is still in use over twelve years later.
